El río. Siempre el río. Con sus formas cambiantes. Y sus colores, sus sonidos, sus olores. Pero no con todos. Cada porción de agua tiene la forma que tiene, el color que tiene, Y produce un peculiar sonido. Y en cada instante hay un peculiar olor en el aire...

 

The river. Forever, the river. With its changing forms. And its colors, sounds, smells. But not all of them. Each sample of water has the shape it has, the color it has, and produces a peculiar sound. And every time there is a peculiar smell in the air.

Las similaridades y diferencias no hacen que existan más cosas que las propias cosas que son semejantes o diferentes. Y la existencia del cambio no hace que deban existir una serie de propiedades abstractas ejemplificándose en algo permanente, en algo que sea el sustrato del cambio...

Similarities and differences do not entail any other existence apart from the existence of the things that are alike or different. And the existence of change does not entail that some abstract properties have exemplifications in something permanent, something that is the last substrate of change...
